Sometimes, even a simple meal just hits the spot.
JS are currently doing turkey thigh joints pre-herbed. Slapped a couple of those in the oven for 2 hours with a foil over then steamed a few runner beans*, deglazed the roasting pan with the steaming water, added some grape jelly, a little gravy browning, plate up... just what the doctor orderd and no sign of Gordon bloody Bleur. :-)
* - from Kenya. Normally I'd eschew the food-miles involved but I love runner beans and I hate that you can't buy UK-grown ones even when they *are* in season. WEHT the humble runner?
